I am delighted with the SamiHayek "tapestry" shown above. It looks awesome as lightweight bedding but I bet it'd also look great stretched over a canvas.
The rest of SamiHayek bedding at Target is pretty fun. It might feel a tad young (Delia's anyone?) but there are a few gems that could be made to look growed up.
Wow, that first one is awesome. Would actually make great curtains to go with my old target tablecloth that you guys seemed to love so much (here). Certainly would look better than the Bomull from Ikea (wish I'd realized they were tab-top, ew).
I just wish I could sew straight lines. Otherwise I'd totally do it.
You should do it, DN! If you take the tapestry to any dry cleaner that does alterations, they should be able to hook you up with a straight seam. If you're in Minneapolis, we might even know someone who can help.
ps. We don't "seem" to love your tablecloth. We do. It's awesome.
actually, technically I'm DNfromSD now. Moved away from the city for 2 years for grad school. The nearest target is 45 minutes away. Only walmart here. So depressing, but good because less likely to spend money.

Alrighty... they're up. Once I've finished getting my place together (hopefully this weekend), I'll take photos and send them in.
The green is more of a limey-yellow, so it doesn't match perfectly, but it's a major upgrade from those tab-tops.
I actually used the lower tapestry for curtains. I needed 9' curtains, and these were great! I added a pocket to the top using iron hem tape.
