Knock-Off Lamp, at shopFostersThe Knock-Off Lamp is a clever idea. When standing, the 15" plastic bowling pin glows from within. When the lamp is tipped over, the light goes out. I'm not sure how it all works but I do think it offers a zany variation on table lighting. Designer Josh Owen (for Kikkerland) acknowledges my confusion yet delight and labels the concept "Supriseutility." Indeed.
