Once Hardwood and I finally move into a condo, our first big purchase will be a new sofa. We've been crushing on the Loring sofa from Room & Board for quite awhile. I love the slopey arms and the metal detail on the legs. But then Jordan and Abbey made my head spin when I saw the Hutton sofa in a gorgeous blue velvet. You already know all about my love of velvet! Plus this sofa is LOOOOOOOOONG!! 98 inches long!!! I think I'm going to have to start saving my pennies.

That Vance Cloud color for the Hutton sofa is...angelic! It also makes me think of your Marie Antoinette obsession!
I wanted the Hutton, but couldn't get the man to agree, so we compromised on the Loring, but upgraded the upholstery to the dark blue velvet. I thought this was a great idea, except Room and Board now keeps delaying their expected delivery date (three times now) and are being pretty snotty about it. Their latest estimate is 10/29 for a sofa we paid for the first week of August. That had better be one nice sofa if and when it ever gets here. . .

Oh Judy! I hope you get your couch this time! When I sent my husband the link to the Hutton sofa, his response was that it was delicious. Ha! Too cute and a good sign. But good idea to cover the Loring in that gorgeous blue color. Perhaps that will be our back-up if the Hutton doesn't work out.
