On TV, I just heard Kimora Lee Simmons pronounce turquoise ('ter-"koiz or -"kwoiz) as turquoi ('ter-"kwä). Not that I look to Kimora for all my pronunciation needs but...
Are we saying it like this?

She's ghastly. And to think that she's being held up as a style icon. As my mother says, money doesn't buy you style or class.
