Pitchers are for Lovers

A loyal reader just wrote to us because she needs to buy a wedding present. She likes the idea of buying the happy new couple a nice, glass pitcher. That's all we needed to hear.
With a flourish of our capes, Porcelain & I were off - flying through the internet - using our keen investigative powers to find the best in communal glassware (or, at least, some decent options).

Classic: Juice Glasses & Pitcher Set, at Williams-Sonoma for $59

Atypical: Sangria Pitcher, at Sur la Table for $18

Modern & Playful: Bravura 7-piece Set, at Target for $20

Sweet: Mikasa Cheers Martini Pitcher, at Bed Bath & Beyond for $25

Sexy: Martini Pitcher, at Crate & Barrel for $23

Vintage: Yellow Pitcher, Ebay for $10

Old-Worldly: Sheridan Oversized Pitcher, at Waterford for $99

Green: Recycled Glass Pitcher, at Amazon for $26

Casual (and my favorites): Frigoverre Glass Pitchers, at Chefs for $10-$13

Check out http://www.lushlyfe.com for some other interesting glassware. While they don't have a lot of pitchers, they've got some beautiful modern crystal. None of the cut-crystal-from-grandma stuff. Modern designs and moderns materials - the Schott Zwiesel crystal made with "Tritan" is a titanium based crystal - it is super strong and really clear. They'll last longer than glass and stay better looking!

Something extremely similar to the Frigoverre is available at The Container Store for a few dollars cheaper.

Yay! Thanks, Isaspacey! A trip over to the Constainer Store is pretty easy - esp. if I'm saving some dollars. Alright!
