New trend: Tree bits

Wood acorn boxes, at West Elm

Acorn candle, at Bath & Body Works

Mini pinecone candles, at Crate & Barrel

Acorn vase filler, at Pottery Barn

I recently started noticing a new trend from a lot of retailers that I can only describe as tree bits. You'll see it as mostly in the form of acorns and pinecones. Some are fun and not a big investment. But I have to say I think the acorn vase filler from Pottery Barn (final photo) is a bit ridiculous.

Oh man, I love that acorn candle. I'm undecided as to whether it's kind of gross or not (I have an aversion to that 70s shade of poo-brown) but there's something about the object that I really like...

Thanks for giving me yet another piece of design to ponder over.

ohwhatlarks, there used to be an awesome silver acorn candle (instead of the poo brown one. ha! love that!) but by the time i snagged this photo, the silver ones were all gone. BOO!! but maybe they'll still have them in some of the stores.

That first photo is great....Hey if you want to add another pick, I just saw an acorn "twine holder" at William Sonoma yesterday. At first I had no clue what it was (other than a pretty acorn), and I am not sure I'd get it for all that twine that I use in the kitchen, but a fun acorn nonetheless!

so cute, i love acorns! i think grabbing your own acorn "filler" from the ground would look more charming than that stuff from PB.
